Make Your Google Calendar Visible to DELTA

In DELTA, communication and collaboration are guiding principles. The ability to efficiently interact with your co-workers — including scheduling meetings — supports these principles. To reinforce this need, the DELTA Communication SOP requires your calendar to be viewable by DELTA.

Instructions

  1. From your list of “My calendars” on the left panel of your calendar, hover over your name, click the 3 stacked dots and select “Settings and sharing.”
  2. You are required to choose between options A and B below to grant calendar access to your DELTA colleagues. You can share more widely if you wish, but that is optional.
    1. To share calendar details with DELTA and free/busy times with all NC State users:
      1. Under the heading “Access permissions for events,” select “Make available for North Carolina State University” and choose “See only free/busy (hide details).”
      2. Under the heading “Share with specific people,” enter group-delta@ncsu.edu in the text box. Leave the selection box as “See all event details” and click “Add Person.”
    2. To share your calendar details with DELTA only and not give access to other NC State users:
      1. Leave all checkboxes under “Access permissions for events” unchecked.
      2. Under the heading “Share with specific people,” enter group-delta@ncsu.edu in the text box. Leave the selection box as “See all event details” and click “Add Person.”
